The Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), Dr George Sipa-Adja Yankey has sent a message of goodwill to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in Nzema and the nation at large as they prepare feverishly to write this year's examination.

He reminded candidates writing the BECE that it was the first step of certification in their academic endeavour and served as a springboard for their future and self-actualization.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the office of Dr George Sipa-Adja Yankey and copied to the media at Esiama in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.

Dr Sipa Yankey, an indigene of Esiama who is also a former Minister for Health, advised the BECE candidates to stick to their books and concentrate on their studies as education held the key for a brighter future.

He reminded the BECE candidates that their success was crucial to the development of the Nzema area and the country at large.

Dr Sipa Yankey admonished the candidates against unproductive behaviour which would not augur well for their future career.

He, therefore, advised them to make good use of the internet for research purposes and stay away from wasting their time on watching pornographic materials and ungodly things.

Dr Sipa Yankey reminded the candidates that their success in the BECE was crucial to the life ahead especially as potential leaders of society.

Final year students in Junior High Schools across the country will commence their BECE from Wednesday, June 11 to Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

The BECE is a mandatory requirement to gain admission into the Senior High Schools.
