According to a statement from the Presidency, President Mnangagwa will arrive at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on April 1, Wednesday afternoon, where he will be received with full military honours, including a guard of honour mounted by the Ghana Armed Forces and a 21-gun salute.

As part of the visit, President Mahama will host a state banquet in honour of his Zimbabwean counterpart, celebrating the longstanding diplomatic ties between Ghana and Zimbabwe.

The highlight of the visit will be bilateral talks at the Peduase Lodge, where both leaders are expected to engage in a one-on-one meeting before leading their respective delegations in discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation.

Key areas of focus will include trade, tourism, health, sanitation, agriculture, anti-corruption efforts, and strategies to tackle unemployment.

The engagements are expected to culminate in the signing and exchange of Memoranda of Understanding covering areas of mutual interest.

During his stay, President Mnangagwa will also tour the Sweden Ghana Medical Centre and the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant to gain insights into Ghana’s healthcare delivery and waste management systems.

He is further scheduled to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to lay a wreath in honour of Ghana’s founding President, Kwame Nkrumah.

President Mnangagwa will depart Ghana on Friday with full departure honours at the Jubilee Lounge, marking the end of his official visit.
