Former Germany head coach Joachim Löw has dismissed reports linking him to the vacant Ghana national team position, stating that no official approach has been made.

Speculation had suggested the 66-year-old was close to accepting a short-term deal to lead Ghana at the next FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

However, speaking to Sky Sport, Löw denied any ongoing discussions.

“With me, officially no one from Ghana has spoken,” he said.

His remarks raise doubts about reports of a possible appointment, as Ghana continues its search for a new head coach following the dismissal of Otto Addo after a recent defeat to Germany.

Löw has been out of management since leaving the Germany national team after Euro 2020.

He led Germany to victory at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and managed the team through multiple major tournaments.

Although he has previously indicated openness to returning to coaching, his latest comments suggest Ghana have not initiated contact regarding the role.
