The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno has ordered for a probe into allegations of unauthorized withdrawal of mobile money by police service personnel.

This comes after a viral video circulating social media alleged the involvement of the officers in the incident.

In a post on X the police service indicated that the IGP has charged the Ghana Police Service’s Police Professional Standards Bureau to conduct a thorough probe into the claims.
According to the police, the alleged victim has been contacted and is cooperating with investigators as efforts continue to establish the facts surrounding the matter.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that the investigation will be conducted professionally, adding that the outcome will be made public once the process is concluded.
