Foster Apetorgbor, a talented teenager from Yeji, a town in the Pru East District near the Volta Lake, has just taken a huge step in his career.
Foster’s football journey started while he was a student at Kumasi High School in the Ashanti Region, where his talent quickly caught the eye of scouts. He was spotted during inter-school competitions, and soon after, he joined Nsoatreman FC in the Ghana Premier League. What makes his story remarkable is that he managed all of this while still being a final-year student, balancing school and professional football like a true professional. Moreover he featured in the WAFU U20 Boys Cup Campaign in July 2025.
The 18-year-old has signed a five-year contract to join Eliteserien side Sandefjord from African Vikings Academy Football Club in Ghana.
“Foster is an exciting addition to our squad. He’s just turned 18 and has trained with us this winter. We’ve signed him on a five-year deal, so patience is key as he continues to develop. He has a long-term contract and possesses an offensive x-factor that’s very promising. We’re eager to see him flourish in the blue jersey,” said the club’s Sports Manager, Matteus Bardsen.

“I view this as an important step for my career, and I hope to achieve great things with Sandefjord Fotball. I’m really excited to represent Sandefjord,” he said.
