The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency, Kwamena Mintah Nyarko, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving education and healthcare in the constituency, describing the two sectors as key priorities of his leadership.

According to the lawmaker, ensuring that every child in the constituency has access to education and healthcare up to the Senior High School level remains central to his development agenda.

“As MP, there is no way I will joke with education and health.

It is the gateway to success,” Dr. Nyarko said.

He urged parents to enrol their children and wards in school and assured residents that his administration will continue implementing programmes aimed at strengthening the education sector in the constituency.

Dr. Nyarko noted that several communities, including Essuekyir, Ayifua, Nkanfoa, Brimsu and Apewosika, have already benefited from interventions aimed at improving educational infrastructure and access.

He explained that when he assumed office, many schools in the constituency were in a deteriorated state, but efforts have begun to address the challenges.

The MP expressed confidence that most of the educational and health-related issues affecting the constituency would be resolved before the end of his tenure.

Dr. Nyarko made the remarks during the inauguration of six classroom blocks funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund.

Speaking at the event, the Municipal Chief Executive for the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, George Justice Arthur, also pledged his commitment to accelerating development in the municipality.

Mr. Arthur disclosed that he inherited several stalled and abandoned projects, but said ongoing support from John Dramani Mahama and the Cape Coast North MP has made it possible to renovate existing facilities and undertake new construction projects.

He assured residents that the Assembly would work to fully develop the municipality before the end of his tenure and pledged to utilise the District Assemblies Common Fund in line with government directives.



Mr. Arthur also called on residents to maintain confidence in the government led by President Mahama, stating that the administration remains committed to delivering on its development promises to the Ghanaian people.
