Ghanaian music producer and sound engineer Khendi Beatz has released a new song titled “Move,” featuring celebrated Ghanaian singer Efya. The song combines an uplifting message with an energetic, feel-good vibe, making it a potential favourite for parties, social gatherings and everyday listening.

Born Stephen Kofi Frimpong, Khendi Beatz is a Ghanaian music producer, mixing and mastering engineer who has established himself as one of the notable talents shaping the country’s contemporary music scene. Based in Kumasi, he began his professional music production journey in 2016 and has since worked with several prominent Ghanaian artistes across different genres, including hip-hop, drill, Afrobeats and highlife.



Khendi Beatz gained significant recognition for his production work on King Paluta’s hit song Aseda, which earned him the Producer of the Year award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards. His portfolio also includes work with artistes such as Yaw TOG, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Kweku Flick, Strongman and Jay Bahd. Beyond beat-making, he offers recording, mixing and mastering services through his studio operations, demonstrating his versatility behind the scenes.

Efya, born Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, is one of Ghana’s celebrated singers, songwriters and performers, known for her soulful voice and distinctive musical style. Her sound blends Afro-soul, R&B, neo-soul and pop, allowing her to move comfortably between emotional ballads and upbeat contemporary records.

Efya first gained national attention through the Stars of the Future television talent competition before pursuing a solo career. She subsequently built a strong reputation through songs such as Best in Me, Forgetting Me and Gingam Too Much, while her debut studio album, Janesis, further showcased her musical range. Her achievements include winning the Best Female Vocal Performance category at the Ghana Music Awards four consecutive times, from 2011 to 2014. Over the years, she has collaborated with several established African artistes, further strengthening her position in the music industry.
