Passengers who rely on VIP Jeoun Transport services across Ghana will soon have to pay more for their journeys, following the company’s announcement of a nationwide fare increase set to take effect on Wednesday, April 8.

The transport operator confirmed that the new pricing structure will apply to both its standard tour buses and executive coach services, impacting major routes originating from Accra to several destinations across the country.

Under the revised fares, travellers using standard services will now pay GHC120 from Accra to Kumasi, GHC170 to Sunyani, and GHC290 to Tamale. Fares to northern routes have also gone up, with trips to Bolgatanga set at GHC330 and Wa at GHC320.

Passengers opting for executive coach services will see even higher adjustments. The fare from Accra to Kumasi has increased to GHC150, while journeys to Sunyani and Tamale will now cost GHC200 and GHC360 respectively.

For longer-distance travel, passengers heading from Accra to Navrongo and Bawku will pay GHC420 and GHC430 under the new rates.

The fare changes are not limited to Accra routes. From Kumasi, updated prices include GHC210 for trips to Tamale and GHC250 to Bolgatanga.

According to VIP Jeoun, the revised fares were approved by its management and will be implemented across all routes operated by the company nationwide.
