President John Dramani Mahama is expected to meet Organised Labour on Tuesday, March 17, in what is being described as a crucial engagement aimed at strengthening dialogue between the government and workers’ representatives.

The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by the administration to deepen stakeholder consultations on pressing national issues. It follows a similar high-level engagement with the business community held last month, signaling a broader strategy to foster inclusive governance and participatory decision-making.

Discussions during the meeting are expected to center on key concerns affecting workers across the country, including wages, rising cost of living pressures, employment conditions, and other socio-economic challenges. Labour leaders are also anticipated to use the platform to present their proposals and outline expectations to the government.

The engagement underscores the importance of collaboration between the state and labour unions in addressing economic difficulties and improving the welfare of Ghanaian workers.

In a related development, President Mahama is also expected to meet Civil Society Organisations at a later date, as part of efforts to ensure broader inclusion of diverse groups in national decision-making processes.
