Thirteen senior officers of the Ghana Police Service have been promoted following their demonstrated courage, professionalism, and outstanding contribution to national security.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, announced the promotions at a decoration ceremony held on Wednesday, December 24, at the National Police Headquarters. The ceremony was organised as part of ongoing efforts by the Police Administration to motivate personnel through recognition of excellence and sacrifice.
In his address, the IGP said the decision to elevate the officers was informed by their resilience, perseverance, and exceptional performance in the line of duty. He emphasised that rewarding such qualities was vital to strengthening discipline, integrity, and accountability within the Service.
Mr. Yohuno further encouraged all officers to remain committed to their responsibilities and assured them that hard work would not go unnoticed. According to him, the Ghana Police Service remains committed to promoting professionalism and recognising officers who distinguish themselves through dedicated service.
Senior officers present at the event praised the initiative and congratulated the promoted officers, urging other personnel to work diligently and uphold the values of the Service.
