The Ministry of the Interior has announced that recruitment into Ghana’s key internal security agencies will officially open from 15th November to 15th December 2025.
The exercise will cover the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Immigration Service. According to the Ministry, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s internal security system, boost public safety, and improve service delivery across the sector.
In a statement, the Ministry said it aims to attract “suitably qualified, disciplined and patriotic Ghanaian citizens” committed to serving the nation with professionalism and integrity.
Prospective applicants are advised to submit their applications within the stated period. Detailed information regarding available vacancies, qualifications, and application procedures will be announced soon.
The Ministry urged applicants to read all guidelines carefully and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying. It further noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for screening, aptitude tests, and background checks.
Authorities cautioned the public against engaging any individuals or groups claiming they can influence the recruitment process for a fee, stressing that recruitment into the security services is strictly merit-based and free.
“Any applicant found to have submitted false information or forged documents will be disqualified and may face prosecution,” the statement said. It added that anyone involved in middleman arrangements will face automatic disqualification.
Details on the application portal and procedures will be communicated in due course.
