Ghanaian entertainment analyst Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has called for a shift in how government supports the creative arts sector, urging policymakers to focus more on creating a supportive environment rather than direct financial handouts.

Speaking in an interview on The Journey aired on Adom TV, hosted by Abena Ghana, he emphasized that sustainable growth in the industry depends on strong systems, regulations, and investor confidence rather than short-term funding.

He argued that when structures are properly developed, private investment naturally flows into the sector, creating more long-term opportunities for creatives and stakeholders.

Beyond policy, he also reflected on how relationships within the entertainment industry have evolved, noting that professional maturity and open dialogue have helped reduce unnecessary conflicts over time.

He further stressed that independence remains important in maintaining honesty within media commentary, especially in environments where financial influence can sometimes affect public opinion.

Concluding his remarks, he expressed optimism about the direction of the industry, pointing to improved collaboration and the growing influence of digital platforms as key drivers of future progress.
