The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Abdulai Ayariga Esq., says Ghana’s next Toyota or Honda could be built by young innovators if given the right tools and support.
Speaking at the 2025 Ghana National Kaizen Awards, he stressed that youth-led enterprises, supported by competitive value chains, are engines of national transformation and sustainable growth.
Mr. Osman Ayariga highlighted the National Apprenticeship Program as a reflection of Kaizen values, providing mentoring and practical skills across agriculture, fashion, manufacturing, and renewable energy.
He also noted initiatives such as the 24-Hour Economy and Youth Resource Centres as critical platforms for collaboration with partners like GEA and JICA to equip youth-led MSMEs with Kaizen tools, digital readiness, and access to markets.
Celebrating the awardees, the NYA CEO described them as role models of discipline and innovation, urging deeper synergy between culture, business, and young people.
“Wherever there is a national agenda, the youth are always present,” he emphasized, calling for continued investment in young entrepreneurs to secure Ghana’s industrial future.
