The Ghana Police Service has taken delivery of 40 newly acquired armoured vehicles aimed at strengthening law-enforcement operations and improving public safety across the nation. The vehicles were officially presented on Thursday, December 4, at a ceremony graced by President John Mahama, top government officials, and senior police commanders.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohunu expressed gratitude to the government for the investment, assuring that the vehicles would be strategically deployed and properly serviced to ensure maximum efficiency.

“We are truly thankful to the government for placing our welfare at the forefront,” the IGP said. “We will ensure these assets are well maintained and used effectively to fulfil their purpose.”

Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak and several top-ranking officers also attended the event, reinforcing the state’s commitment to empowering the police with the tools needed to safeguard citizens.
