The Ga Traditional Council has appealed to the police to intervene in what it describes as an unlawful installation within the Ga State, warning of possible threats to peace and stability.

In a letter dated March 26, 2026, and addressed to the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, the Council revealed that it had received intelligence about a purported installation of a Dantu Walomo by an individual identified as Chuku Lamptey.

According to the Council, the development has not been approved by the appropriate traditional authorities and could trigger tensions if allowed to proceed unchecked.

The directive for police intervention was issued on the instructions of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, who also serves as President of the Council. He called for urgent measures to prevent any actions that might disrupt public order.

The Council urged law enforcement to immediately restrain all persons allegedly involved in the process, including associates and agents, in order to safeguard peace within the Ga State.

It stressed that the installation lacks legitimacy under established traditional protocols and must be halted without delay.

The Council also expressed confidence in the ability of the Ghana Police Service to respond swiftly and ensure stability across the region.
