Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy has opened up about the complexities of relationships in the music industry, describing genuine friendships as rare.
In an interview on JoyNews, the musician said that while he deeply values personal relationships, he struggles to define any of his industry connections as true friendships.
“Any relationship that I have right now, to say that we are friends, I would be deceiving somebody,” Stonebwoy explained, noting that his understanding of friendship goes beyond professional associations.
He contrasted industry relationships with his personal life, highlighting his family as the foundation of his emotional support system. “The wife alone is a graduation of all. There’s my friend in there, my lover, my kids’ mom,” he said.
Despite his comments, Stonebwoy stressed that his stance should not be mistaken for disrespect toward fellow musicians.
