TikTok influencer Ella Diaries has reflected on a past viral social media controversy involving prominent Ghanaian figure Appiah Stadium, saying the experience has taught her important lessons about privacy and public exposure.

Speaking in an interview with Abena Ghana on the Our Journey TV show, which also airs on Adom TV and Abena Ghana TV, Ella Diaries said she has come to understand that not every aspect of one's private life should be made public.

According to her, the controversy helped her appreciate the need to exercise caution when sharing personal matters on social media.

She noted that although social media has its challenges, it has also contributed positively to her life by connecting her with influential individuals and opening doors to business opportunities.

“Social media has really helped me because it has connected me to big people and also given me business opportunities,” she said.

Addressing online bullying and insults, Ella Diaries explained that she does not consider herself someone who goes on social media to fight others, although she is prepared to respond when she feels attacked.

“Some people's job is to bully and insult others on social media, so for me, when you give it to me, I will also give it back to you. I am not on social media for bullying or fighting; I am on social media to establish myself,” she stated.

The influencer also advised social media users to be mindful of the consequences of online confrontations, warning that attacking others can attract hostility from their supporters and increase the number of people who dislike them.

She urged users to avoid unnecessary disputes and focus instead on building their personal brands and pursuing meaningful opportunities.

Ella Diaries' comments highlight the importance of protecting personal boundaries online while making productive use of social media for networking, business and personal growth.
