The Ghana Police Service has arrested Samuel Amadotor, a blogger affiliated with Dklassgh.net, for allegedly spreading fabricated information about the former Board Chair of the National Communication Authority (NCA), Mr. Okatakye Boakye Danquah Ababio II.

In a statement released on Thursday, November 20, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) announced that Amadotor was taken into custody with support from the National Signals Bureau (NSB). The arrest followed a formal complaint by Mr. Ababio, who accused the blogger of deliberately disseminating damaging falsehoods.

During interrogation, police say Amadotor admitted to the offence and claimed he was contracted by an individual identified as Chairman Michael Yeboah to publish the fabricated content. A search is currently underway to locate Yeboah, who is wanted to assist with the investigation.

Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo, who signed the statement, confirmed that Amadotor will be put before the court on Friday, November 21, 2025.

The case has revived national discussions about misinformation and accountability in Ghana’s growing digital media space.
