The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday added a notable highlight to the unveiling of its amended constitution as its 2024 presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, made symbolic purchases of the first two copies. Each bought a copy for GH¢50,000, a gesture party officials described as a demonstration of commitment to the NPP’s renewed direction.

The event, which drew national executives, party elders, and enthusiastic supporters, was applauded as a defining moment in the NPP’s internal reforms. According to party leadership, the amended document is expected to enhance organisational efficiency and deepen democratic engagement within the party’s structures.
