A tragic incident occurred in Awutu Bawjiase, Central Region, where a suspected motorbike thief was brutally assaulted by a mob and later died from his injuries.

The suspect, along with an accomplice, allegedly hired an Okada rider from Esikaso in the Eastern Region, pretending to travel to Awutu Bawjiase. However, their true intentions were revealed when they attacked the rider with a stick and fled with his motorbike.

The Awutu Bawjiase District Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched an investigation into the lynching and alleged motorbike theft. Authorities are urging the public to allow the law to take its course and avoid taking justice into their own hands.
