Yartey heads Financial Institutions Tennis Association

Accra, March 8, GNA - Mr Emmanuel T. Yartey of Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) was Tuesday elected unopposed as Chairman of the Financial Institutions Tennis Association (FINTAS).

Mr Aikins Ofori-Kumah of Barclays Bank Ghana Limited was also elected unopposed as the Vice Chairman in an election held in Accra. Other officers elected unopposed are Mr Eugene Marfo (GCB), Secretary, Mrs Caroline Oku, Bank of Ghana, Treasurer, Mr Peter Annan, State Insurance Company of Ghana Limited (SIC), Executive Co-ordinator and Mr Albert Nyemitei (SIC) an Executive Member .

The post of Organizing Secretary went to Mr Dan Welbeck of Bank of Ghana while Mr Tim Attoh of GCB was elected as Deputy Organizing Secretary.

Mr Yartey in an acceptance speech, thanked the members for the confidence reposed in the new executive and asked for their support to enable them discharge their duties efficiently. 08 March 06
