Table Tennis Open championship rescheduled

Accra, Oct 23, GNA - The second J. A Biney and Co. Open Table Tennis Championship originally planned for Saturday, October 30, has been rescheduled to November 6 at the Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.
A statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Oteng Aboagye, Secretary General of the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), did however not give any reason for the postponement but said registration for the event would take place on the same day.
It said as part of the association's developmental programme, a special Under 18 tournament would be organised alongside the open championship.
The statement promised handsome prices from the sponsors, J.A. Biney and Co. Limited.
It urged all fans of the game as well as its patrons to grace the occasion to witness an interesting encounter between Solomon Akunor the former champion who was dethroned during the first open championship and Nana Yaw Boateng the current champion.
Other players expected to grace the occasion are Nana Yaw boating, back to batan Courage Nanevie and Acquah Aikins of Ghana Navy.
