ITF Under 18 Junior Circuit Benin And Togo

31ST AUGUST – 11 SEPTEMBER 2010

The National Junior Tennis Team has safely returned home after successfully
participating in the ITF Under 18 Junior Circuit in Benin and Togo from 31st
August – 11th September 2010.

The Team comprising of four (4) players and a coach included

Pascal Ziyab - Player
Enoch Godi - Player
Japheth Bagerbaseh - Player
Stacy Bulley - Player
Ali Baba Barseh - Coach

The Tournament sought to offer the Under 18 players the opportunity to gain
points leading to a World Ranking. Ghana’s performance in this year’s tournament
is an improvement over the 2009 edition.

Most of the players won at least a match in both first and second legs of the
tournament in Benin and Togo respectively to secure points for their rankings.
In the first leg in Benin, Pascal Ziyab won two matches but lost the third (3)
round match to Benard Atipoe from Togo 2 6, 6 2, 6 2.

Enoch Godi lost his first round match to Samoura Samba Dio from Senegal 6 2, 7
6. Japheth Bagerbaseh impressively qualified to the semi finals but lost in the
semi finals to Celestin Nkoueleue from Cameroun 6 2, 6 3. Stacy Bully also won
her first Match but lost 6 1, 6 1 to Marina Albert from Egypt in her second
round match.

In the second leg of the circuit in Togo, Stacy Bulley won her first match
against Ani Faithe Agondanou from Benin 61,61 but lost Mayar Sherif from Egypt 6
0,6 2.

Pascal Ziyab won his first match against Kevin Saizonou from Benin 6 1, 6 3 and
lost his second round match against Nigeria’s Samuel Omoile (6 4, 6 2). Enoch
Godi also won his first round match against Christian Aza from Benin 6 1, 6, 0
but lost to his Belgium counterpart Adrien Rossignon 6 3, 6 0.

Japheth Bagerbaseh again impressively beat Benin’s Tunde Segodo 6 2, 6 7, (5) 7
6 (4) to qualify to the quarter final stage but lost 6 1, 6 4 to Celestin
Nkoueleue from Cameroun.

The international Tennis Federation is expected to publish the rankings by
November 2010.
