Dede not in hurry to leave Marseille

Despite expressing his desire to leave Les Phoceens, Andre Ayew has stressed that he is not in a hurry to leave the Stade Velodrome.

The Ghanaian international has made it clear that he would leave the club one day but he won’t force a move out. The midfielder has stressed that he is ready to stay at Marseille for another season but is still open to talks.

Andre Ayew has attracted a lot of interest from host of top European clubs. English Premier League outfit Arsenal are keen to attain the services of the talented midfielder.

However, the player has revealed that he has not decided anything about his future and is in no hurry to do so.

“I’m very young and it’s true I have been in Marseille for a very long time and I have had the opportunity to play all the competitions in the world, but now I’m going to sit down with my family and make a decision.”

Financial turmoil at Marseille is forcing the club to sell their players in order to balance the books. And according to the French media, L'OM might sell Andre Ayew if they receive a good offer for the son of African football legend, Abedi Pele.

However, OM’s sporting director Jose Anigo has insisted that the 22-year-old is not for sale and will play for Marseille next season.

Andre Ayew had a successful shoulder surgery few weeks ago and the player is looking forward to get back onto the field.

While talking to reporters, Ayew conceded that he would surely leave Marseille for a better club but is not sure when will that happen. The Ghanaian international expressed his disappointment over failure to qualify for the Champions League and stated that the team needs to get better next season.

“One day I’m going to move from Marseille, but when, I don’t know yet. I’m very happy at the club and I’m not in a hurry to go. It’s true that next year we won’t play in the Champions League, but we have Europa to fight for. We the players are going to correct our mistakes to get better next season.”

Andre Ayew feels that staying at Marseille for another season will help him become a better player and the player can’t wait to get back on the pitch.
