Refuses To Select Jawula Because Gonjas Exposed Him For Urinating On Mosque!

Nana Akufo-Addo, the struggling flagbearer of the NPP, has settled on political neophyte Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as his running mate for the December 2012 election.
The Informer has it on authority that Akufo-Addo has decided to spit in the face of, Kufuor, J.H. Mensah, Appiah Menka, and other party elders by dropping Lepowura Alhaji Mohamed Nuhu Dini Jawula, and is opting for Bawumia.
No amount of pressure from the party elders who are rooting for Alhaji Jawula, would make Akufo-Addo rescind his decision not to select the Gonja man as his running mate.
Nana Addo failed to name the running mate yesterday because of the internal wrangling precipitated by the party old guns, who vouched for M. N. D. Jawula, as the flagbearer crutches his gun, by insisting on Banker Mahamudu Bawumia.
Indeed, the recent move by “SENIOR” J.H. Mensah who came out of retirement to make his voice heard on the fact that Bawumia is not fit to be running mate a second time, was all part of a psychological operation to make sure that Akufo-Addo chooses Jawula.
According to the Informer’s sources, Akufo-Addo has complained, bitterly, about how Alhaji Jawula looked on and did nothing when some Gonja youth broke the story about Akufo-Addo removing his penis from his pants and urinating on a mosque in Damongo, the capital of Gonja land.
Akufo-Addo is reported to have told party elders that there is no way he can work with a Gonja man after what the Gonjas did to him.
Constantly wearing a very vindictive and angry demeanour, Akufo-Addo is reported to be defying all good counsel from party elders to choose Jawula; and insisting that he cannot work with the one-time Chairman of the Ghana Football Authority (GFA).
According to The Informer’s sources, Akufo-Addo continues to say that he sees no sense in selecting Jawula as running mate because the Gonjas have done a lot of damage to his chances of becoming president.
“After what the Gonjas have done to me, why should I waste my time choosing a Gonja” Akufo-Addo is reported to have said on one occasion.
Akufo-Addo is reported to have also said that he prevailed on Jawula to get the Yagbonwura to force the youngman who broke the news to go back on air and say that he was paid by the NDC to fabricate the story, but Jawula did nothing about it.
It is apparently as a result of the inability of Jawula to force the Yagbonwura to force the gentleman to eat back his words, that is why Akufo-Addo is so infuriated and not accepting any logical argument that Jawula is a much better choice as compared to Akufo-Addo.
It would be recalled that towards the end of last year, Akufo-Addo, when he visited the Yagbonwura’s palace, was seen “filifili” urinating on a mosque close to the place.
Indeed, even though Mr. Boakye Agyarko, Akufo-Addo’s campaign manager, denied that that NPP flagbearer urinated on a mosque, he confirmed on Adom FM that it was true that the NPP flagbearer urinated in the open.
