Women killed to perform funeral rites of powerful chief (1)
According to latest information, the 34 women were murdered to perform the funeral rites of a very powerful chief in the country. Now it is up to Ghanaians to guess who that powerful traditional ruler might be, whose funeral rite celebrations coincided with the time the women were being killed.
So when recently, ex~President Rawlings said there were fifteen (15) cabinet ministers in the NPP government who masterminded the killing of the women, he knew what he was saying.
Yes, there is some truth in what he was saying because some members of the NPP government who hail from the same area as the powerful chief, actually organised the killing of the women.
But the fact is also that the then NDC government of President Rawlings gave its moral support and blessing to the killings, not only as a respect for the greatness of the said chief, but also as its contribution to the funeral rites performances.
