Who bought 'Akufo-Addo Benz'?

Speculation is rife in Ghanaian media and political circles as to who bought the sleek Mercedes Benz at the 5-star dinner fundraiser held by Nana Akufo-Addo last week.

Sunday World can report that the vehicle was purchased by a 'money-bag' closely linked to the rice and sugar importation business.

We can also confirm that the vehicle was not bought by the son of Krobo Edusei as alleged by some newspapers during the week.

Surprisingly the largest donor of the night was not the purchaser of the Mercedes Benz but a Ghanaian businessman with close connection to a Nigerian Telecommunication Company.

The donor put up $100,000 to the campaign of the front-runner of the NPP race Nana Akufo-Addo.

Although patrons were invited to the dinner, which had Hugh Masekela in attendance, the 4- hour dinner turned out to be a five-star by the campaign team of Nana Akufo-Addo. Interestingly, most of the donors at the dinner were not themselves present and preferred to remain under the cover of darkness.

It was a class-packed affair by all standards and provided a glimpse of what an Akufo-Addo President would be.

Speaker after Speaker commended Nana Akufo-Addo for his dedication to the NPP, to the President and to Ghana.

Sunday World can also reveal that some of the players at the Alan Kyerematen fundraiser attended this function. Stay tuned as our investigative machinery moves on.
