Warlords Now Guard Akufo-Addo

If a blind man threatens to stone you, it means he has the stone handy, probably under his foot to pick and cast at you. In like manner, the guerilla tactics-like posturing adopted by the defeated Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not a mere political rhetoric but rather, the opening phase of an elaborate plan to loathsomely stage a sustained pogrom. Intelligence reports gathered by The Al-Hajj indicate that Nana Akufo-Addo is currently sheltering thugs at his residences who are made up of mainly remnants of the Mamprusi –Kusasi conflicts who have among other things been commissioned to guard Akufo-Addo and carry out other treacherous activities in the coming days. The recruited NPP hooligans, some of which are notorious drug addicts and are on police wanted list were bespoke by Nana AKufo-Addo to augment the effort of the already existing NPP Militant group christened “The Bamba boys” who have been tagged with special duties to cause commotion in some selected part of the country. The Al-Hajj has learned that some top brass executives of the NPP together with the defeated Presidential Candidate have been constantly meeting with the mercenaries on how they would assist “The Bamba Boys” in intensifying bloody massacres in the country, particularly in Accra and Kumasi. One of such meeting, which details was intercepted by The Al-Hajj begun around the dusk of Saturday, December 15, 2012 and ended in the wee hours of Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Nima residence of Nana Akufo-Addo mainly centered on the modus operandi of the frustrated militant group. The meeting, which was addressed by Nana Akufo-Addo focused on issues relating to the just ended election and how the NPP can work out all possible means to taste power through the use of brute force which will be championed by the militants In the said meeting, Nana Akufo-Addo noted that a power-sharing government with the NDC may be formed if the warlords work hard to create horrific and scary scenes like the Rwandan genocide. The NPP anticipates that if it succeeds in causing commotion in the country, the NDC will be forced to accept the power-sharing idea. It has also been confirmed to The Al-Hajj that the NPP in the coming days will engage in various demonstrations across the country one of which is currently underway in Kumasi, the NPP’s stronghold. According to our intelligence, the duty of the warlords is to violently attack demonstrating NPP supporters and inflict wounds on them; in that case, the International Community will be cowed in believing that the ruling party is using political power to curtail the fundamental human rights of the main opposition party and its supporters. The other assignment the NPP thugs will carry out will be to viciously assail the offices and residence of some leading members of the NPP. The NPP leaders at the meeting also tasked the mercenaries to start breaking into data centers of the Party to create the impression that the NDC was using communist inferior tactics to prevent them from gathering evidence for their intended court action. At the meeting, Nana Akufo Addo admitted that the party’s earlier position of going to court was ill-thought because supposed evidence to fight the electoral results in court were not forthcoming. “To save ourselves from the embarrassment, attack our data centers, destroy some of our computers…we will ask our communicators to blame it on the NDC. That is the only way we can convince our supporters and Ghanaians that the NDC frustrated our effort in gathering evidence.” It will be recalled that Nana Akufo-Addo declared “all-die-be-die” war cry ahead of the 2012 general elections, implying that the NPP will use all means possible to win power. He had previously warned that if the results of this year’s election do not favor him and the NPP, the party would ensure that Ghana suffers violence.

The “all-die-be-die” rant reduced Nana Akufo- Addo from a viable alternative to the Mahama-led government to a desperate loser seeking to appeal to the worse instinct of Ghanaians. It is, therefore, no wonder that Nana Akufo- Addo has turned to remnants of the Mamprusi-Kusasi conflicts for the operation. Amidst this worrying development, sources within the police headquarters in Accra have hinted The Al-Hajj that they are on top of the issue, and are monitoring events with “eagle eyes”. In an exclusive interview with The Al-Hajj, an intelligence officer revealed that the security service is monitoring the activities of all groups, and that it is the duty of the security agencies to maintain the peace of the country at all time. “If Nana Akufo-Addo, or any politician for that matter, thinks that they can undermine the security of the country, they must re-write their script”, the intelligence officer said.

The security source further revealed that “the security agencies are well prepared for any unforeseen eventuality, and will handle every issue, one at a time, and we will maintain and sustain the peace of the country”
