Traders Banned For Hooting At Kufuor (9)

A DCE at Sogakope in the Volta Region has banned the poor traders at the Sogakope bridge from selling bread because they hooted at the President when he passed on that way to Keta two week ago.

In this day of Democracy and the rule of law, a DCE has arrogated to himself the power to punish people for hooting at a sitting President and when he was interviewed on JoyFm this morning, he shows no remorse. In fact he went on to defend his action. Remember a poor Mechanic in Kumasi was sent to Jail recently by some over zealous police and judge because he said the President travels too much.
