Kufuor's Atasemanso Mansion

A 'GHANA Palaver' research team has found the correct spelling of the site, where President J. A. Kufuor has bought his mansion, at a cost which runs into multi-million cedis.

The official name for the site is 'Atasemanso', a high-class residential area, in-between Nyiaeso and the "TUC" estates. The owner of the house, Mr Saud, a Lebanese timber merchant, has closed down his company out of frustration, caused by the "high-pitch" economic conditions, which have sent many businesses to bed.

Mr Saud, who operated in the country for over 30 years, is now back in Lebanon.

The over 3,000 workers of the company have now joined the long jobless queue, cursing a "golden age", which is fast destroying business.

Meanwhile, the Ministerial rush to purchase properties of the former GNTC, continues. Nobody knows who is auctioning what ... and at what price too! What is known is that the GNTC properties in the country, are being shared, like a war booty, amongst top Ministers and high-ranking NPP officials.
