Attempt On Gbevlo Lartey's Life Fails (9)
News filtering in from Accra indicated that an attempted assassination by (removed for security purposes) on Col Larry Gbevlo Lartey failed for the single reason that he was misidentified. His younger brother who bears a close resemblence of the elder one was shot instead.
The younger Gbevlo Lartey was shot 5 times in his car on the Shai -Tema road and left for dead. A passing motorist heard moans in the car that was parked dangerously on the shoulder and called for help.
The victim was rushed to the 37 Military hospital where his condition is said to be very critical.
Folks will recall that some 2 weeks ago, Col Gbevlo Lartey was implicated in coup attemt that turned out to be a hoax that was perpertrated by the NPP govt.
