Pastor Obeng Nyarko of the Christian Worship Centre has called on the youth to serve God in all they do to acquire wisdom to develop the society.

He said every individual was called for a purpose and by attending with diligence to the call, “we show the extent to which we honour our God”.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency after preaching a sermon on the theme: “God is faithful”, Pastor Nyarko said, “as much as we are born to face spiritual, financial, physical and emotional challenges, it was important to hold firmly our trust in God as He would see us through”.

On the discussions concerning gays and lesbianism, he said, it is an abominable act in the sight of God and this is grounded in Christian beliefs.

Pastor Nyarko said, “I am not in support of the call to allow gay and lesbian acts in the society, and we as a church would resist any move in this direction.”
