The Babile Catholic Church in the Lawra District of the Upper West Region has dedicated its new church to contain the increasing number of converts to the Catholic faith.

The church in the past could not contain all members of the congregation during Mass Service which prevented some from fully participating in the Eucharist.

Mr Clement Tong, Youth Chairman of the church at a meeting to dedicate the church said “the key tool to developing every nation, union, society, group and even individuals has to deal with self-commitment, discipline and team work in order to meet its core mandate.”

He appealed to the Youth Board and members of the church to avoid partisanship in the church and said Christianity encompassed love, trust, the fear of God and commitment to humanity, and therefore any attempt to pinch politics around it would breed chaos.

Mr Richard Yengwa the Youth Vice Chairman said “transparency and accountability should be in everything we do. And for every individual here to obtain maximum respect, we must practise it.”

He indicated that the future of the church depended on its youth, and encouraged them to be steadfast and allow the spirit of God to direct them in every venture they pursued in life particularly the need to strengthen their relationship with God by remaining chaste and faithful to His service.

He appealed to Christians to remember the Babile church in prayers to help the Christian community there to grow in the faith.

Mr James Nyovori the youth Organiser and who is also the Babile Mount Zion Prayer Group Coordinator asked all the youth to step out and fully participate in church activities with their talents to support the smooth development of the Babile church and its surrounding communities.

The youth of the Out-station in a meeting was to deliberate on how to extend the church structure for it to take a good number of people during church activities to gain total attention during Mass.
