The Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Prestea, has donated items worth GHC 3,800 to the Prestea government hospital in the Western region.

The items included; office chairs, dust bins, buckets of omo, parazone, dettol, toilet rolls and loaves of bread.

Presenting the items, Father Raphael Eshun of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, said the church had been helping hospitals mostly within the Prestea Huni/Valley district.

Father Eshun said this year the church decided to extend their assistance to the Prestea government hospital to improve quality health care delivery in Prestea and its neighboring communities.

He called on Ghanaians to be more sensitive to the needs of hospitals and clinics within their locality to save lives.

Dr. Kwasi Acheampong, a staff of the hospital, who received the items thanked the church and appealed to other benevolent organisations to come to the hospital's aid.
