The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has ordained 26 ministerial probationers at the Ebenezer Congregation, Somanya, with a call on them to fulfill their ministry in humility.

All the 26 ministers, who have completed their ministerial probationary studies, were commissioned in 2015 into the Holy Ministry of the PCG.

A former Moderator of the General Assembly of the church, Very Rev Dr Sam Prempeh, who officiated the ordination, reminded the new ordained ministers of their responsibility to proclaim and teach the word of God in the church, as well as administer the sacrament that would lead members, particularly their congregants, to lead lives worthy of emulation.

He asked them to selflessly contribute their quota to make the Presbyterian congregations dynamic and Christ-like family of people living all their lives for the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The former moderator urged them to bring all members of their congregations into fellowship and help educate them to lead sound and moral lives.

Rev Prempeh charged the ministers to take time daily to read the scriptures devotionally for their own benefit.

Rev Noah Boadu Ferguson, on behalf of the new ministers, expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the church for the successful completion of their probationary studies, which had given them the opportunity to be ordained.
