Shun Lying - Rev. Ayim tells Christians

The Reverend Daniel Kwesi Ayim, Pastor in charge of the Mount Moriah Congregation of the Presbyterian Church, Danfa, on Sunday admonished Christians to shun lying in order to become true worshipers of God.

He said the devil was the father of all lies so if you lied, you belonged to Satan and not Christ.

"You can be going to church, you can be a singer, you can be a communicant or even a church leader, if you lie, you do not belong to Christ, lies are the native language of the devil and if you lie, you speak the devil's language," he emphasized.

Rev. Ayim said this at a thanks-giving service to climax a week-long revival organized by the church on the theme: "Be filled with the Holy Spirit."

He said there was an element of lying in every sin, adding 'there is nothing like white lie or black lie, if you lie about something, you are a liar, because you have lied.'

He advised government workers and other public servants to cultivate the habit of truthfulness.

He led the congregation to pray for the nation, families and individuals.

The Mount Moriah Presby Church also hosted the prayer grounds for the Ga Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church.

Rev. Ayim used the opportunity to invite Christians in Accra and its environs to join the prayer sessions held every Wednesday.
