Bishop Annor-Yeboah’s death, valuable in God’s sight - Apostle

Apostle Stephen Owusu Jackon, Chairman of the interim 13 Member Council of the Christian Praise International Centre (CPIC) has said the death of Bishop Professor Annor-Yeboah Founder and Presiding Bishop CPIC is valuable in the sight of God.

He said Christians are valuable in the sight of God because they glorified Him on earth which Bishop Annor-Yeboah did evidently in the propagating of the gospel, winning souls, helping the needy in society and carrying out other required duties as a true child of God.

Apostle Owusu Jackson made the remarks in Accra on Sunday when he delivered a sermon on the theme “Precious in the Sight of the Lord is the Death of His Saints”.

He observed that, the righteous, a believer and a Christian, who sees the Lord as his or her helper dies at a great cost in Him adding that “As the Lord Jesus had already died, He conquered death and that any believer who dies today, dies in the Lord," he said.

The Chairman of the interim 13 Member Council of CPIC noted that God loved it when Christians lived according to His way and shy away from earthly things and that any time it happens, and He calls them, “He is happy about calling them to eternity and hence giving them a good rest just as Professor, Bishop Annor –Yeboah is enjoying now in Heaven," he said.

‘”Nobody killed the Bishop, rather it is God who has called him because the signs started showing three months ago through Bishop Annor-Yeboah’s own utterances. In this wise, as a church let us strengthen ourselves in the Lord as He knows best and the reason for calling Bishop because the death of the saint is the will of God.

“That, there is the need for us as a church, family, Christians and loved ones to strengthen ourselves in the Lord," Apostle Owusu added.

Apostle Owusu Jackson led the church to pray for the bereaved family and the entire church for God to see them through the mourning of their loss.

As at the time the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the church, it was noticed that church members were in mourning clothes amidst drumming, praises and other normal church activities.

Some church members who spoke to the GNA expressed their shock about their bishop’s death even though they admitted he had been ill for some time and was not expecting death to lay its icy hands on him yet especially when he was recovering.

Bishop Annor-Yeboah died at age 64 on Thursday at the Korle-bu teaching hospital when he was recovering from an illness until his condition deteriorated on Thursday morning.

He left behind a wife and children; his one week celebration comes off on July 3rd 2014 at his residence Hydraform Estates Spintex road.
