Exhibit strong moral attitude to portray your belief – Christians told

Reverend Samuel Tordzo of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) has called on Christians to demonstrate good moral attitude that would depict their faith in God so they could be examples to others.

He said Christians must be steadfast, truthful, and fearless to demonstrate positive moral grounds so to avoid being seen as false believers.

Rev. Tordzo said this at the climax of the seventh Biennial Rally and Fund Raising of the EPC West Volta Presbytery Accra Zone Christian Youth Builders (ARZONE C.Y.B).

The three-day biennial rally was on the theme: “Integrity in Mission and Ministry: The Youth Perspective” on Sunday in Accra.

Delivering the sermon on the theme: “Be strong, do not fear, have faith in the Lord”, Rev Tordzo reminded Christians that the testing of their faith could come from the many challenges and troubles they were faced with.

He appealed to members to exercise their franchise in the December polls and charged the youth of the church in particular, to participate effectively in the development of the church.

He urged them to be resilient in their endeavours and desist from following political parties that were full of deceit.

Madam Dzifa Attivor, Deputy Minister for Transport, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to all for their support during the funeral of the late President John Mills.

The deputy minister mentioned some achievements of the ruling NDC government as the introduction of LESDEC, Youth in Agric, as well as the opportunity given to the youth to serve as ministers.

Again, she said, the government had established the University of Allied Sciences in the Volta Region as well as donated a 60-seater bus to the school. Madam Attivor indicated that the NDC government would have introduced the free senior high education if there were enough funds in the state’s coffers, adding the government was not against this policy.

Madam Attivor urged all to remain peaceful in the electioneering process and pray for Ghana emphasizing that it was only God who appointed and anointed leaders.

Mr. Richard Coffie, President of the West Volta Presbytery C.Y.B, said the establishment of the group had been rough and tough.

He congratulated those who had contributed in diverse ways to the life and work of the group and appealed to members to always thank God and engage in sober reflection, stock taking and goal setting that would guide them to put in place strategic plans that could lead to attainable goals.

Mr. Emmanuel Kporfor, Chairman ARZONE C.Y.B, in a goodwill message, urged members to be steadfast in their various fields of endeavours such as education, apprenticeship, and evangelism.

Certificates were presented to deserving groups, who emerged as winners in a choral competition.
