"End of fasting not end to God’s work" -Imam

Alhaji Ibrahim Alkaad, the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam of the Ghana Muslim Mission has appealed to Muslims to continue fasting and praying for a violent-free election in Ghana.

He said the thirty days of fasting should propel them to be “good ambassadors of trouble shooters where ever they found themselves.”

Alhaji Alkaad was addressing hundreds of members of the Mission, who converged at the Islamic Senior High School at Ampabame in Kumasi, on Sunday, to offer prayers to thank Allah for guiding them through the fasting.

It was also to seek Allah’s guidance and blessing for the leaders of the nation, unity of purpose and to ask for a successful poll this year.

The Chief Imam advised the youth to lead lives devoid of divisive tendencies and ethnic conflicts and work hard to improve their standard of living and contribute to the development of their communities.

Alhaji Alkaad urged parents to monitor their children and invest in their education.
