Pastor caution congregation against smuggling and taxes

Rev. Dr Moses Asafo, Head Pastor of Aflao branch of Pentecostal Revival Centre, Assembles of God Church, has entreated members of the church to pay their taxes and shun smuggling.

Speaking on the topic “good discipleship” during a Sunday service at Aflao, he reminded the congregation of the relationship between nationhood and the Church which imposes on them the duty to pay their taxes.

“If smuggling and avoidance of tax payment is the only means you can run your trading activities, then you better look for a new business since God would not bless you when you do the wrong thing” Rev. Dr Safo stated.

He said good and responsible citizenship were the tenets of real disciples of Jesus Christ not the attendance in church.

“Smuggling amounts to self-seeking and is disliked by Christ,” Rev. Dr Safo said.

“God will drive away the miracles and blessings from your territory since you cannot achieve anything through foul means,” he stated.

The Head Pastor advised his followers to deny themselves for Christ, seek peace and love their neighbors for tranquility to prevail.

Rev. Dr Safo appealed to the youth of the church to be good disciples by avoiding violent acts during this year’s elections.**
