Living Grace Ministries condemn homosexuality

The Deputy General Overseer of the Living Grace Ministries, Rev. Lawrence Gyamfi, has expressed disgust at the recent upsurge of homosexuality and lesbianism in the country and called for great efforts at addressing the problem.

He appreciated calls by both the christian and moslem communities on authorities to check the phenomenon, but said more must be done.

Rev. Gyamfi was delivering the welcome address at the annual Champions Prayer Conference, (CPC) of the Living Grace Ministries at Berlin Top in Sunyani.

The 4-day conference is under the theme, “The Power of Worship In Prayer”, and is being attended by all the assemblies of the church and the general public.

The event is hosted by the General Overseer of the ministries, Rev. Dr Richard Owusu Akyeaw with Rev. Thomas Yawson, the psalmist as the guest speaker.

Rev. Gyamfi noted that God has stated in the Bible that it is a sin for anyone to practice homosexuality and lesbianism and urged those engaged in the practice to desist from it to avoid the wrath of God.

Touching on the conference theme, the Deputy General Overseer pointed out that the Bible teaches that God alone is worthy of worship but expressed worry that some people are worshiping objects, some small gods, heavenly bodies, satan and demons

“It is indeed tragic that many worship gods they can carry and not the God who can carry them”, he said. He added that the irony is that many of these people call themselves christians and wondered how people can worship two masters.

Rev. Gyamfi explained that true worship takes place when the “inner man”,(spirit of man) in response to the promptings of the Holy spirit, expresses love and adoration to God.

He said christians can worship God through singing, praising, shouting, lifting of hands, clapping, standing, kneeling or bowing, dancing and the use of musical instruments.
