Social Appeal Chief Christian Council asked to weed out false 93men of God"

Agona Duakwa (C/R), April 4, GNA - Nana Kofi Aberde IV,

Omankrado of Agona Duakwa, has appealed to the Christian

Council of Ghana to put in place measures to weed out false and

charlatan priests. He said because of the activities of these priests, it had

become difficult to determine who is really winning more souls

for God. The chief said this at a forum organised by the Solid

Foundation Youth Organization for the people of Agona

Duakwa. It was aimed at sensitizing them to be mindful of activities of

fake and false prophets who have been going round to seek their

selfish gains instead of preaching the gospel. Nana Kofi Aberde expressed regret that the preaching by these

priests, instead of uniting the society, rather created division and

disunity. He also appealed to the Christian Council of Ghana to control

activities of Churches to enable the clergy to propagate the

gospel well for people to do the right thing. Nana Kofi Aberde urged people to investigate the background

of Ministers of the Gospel before dealing with them to avoid

being misled. The Chief Executive Officer of the Organization, Prophetess

Esther Aboagye, said the aim of the foundation was to offer

good counseling to the youth to enable them grow up to become

useful adults.
