No blessing for Christians who give tithe but do not pay tax -Chief

Ho, June 11, GNA - Togbe Kotoku XI, Paramount Chief of Kpenoe Traditional Area, on Thursday said Christians who pay tithes but do not honour their tax obligations would not receive any blessing from God. He said God does not deli ght in cheating and unfaithfulness.

Togbe Kotoku who is also an evangelist said this in a sermon at the Jubilee Christian Centre in Ho.

He therefore charged Christians to honour their tax obligations religiously the same way they pay their tithes. Togbe Kotoku observed that many people who profess to be Christians engage in nation wrecking activities which do not conform to the standards of Christianity.

"Some of us are experts in smuggling and other nation wrecking activities yet expecting blessing from God because of our tithes," he said. He said God is principled, just, and blesses only people who are faithful in all things. "Let's be hard working wherever we find ourselves and give what belongs to the state to the state, and what belongs to God to God for maximum blessings," he urged.
