Tema Methodist Diocese inducts new Synod Secretary

Tema, Dec. 7, GNA - The Very Reverend Thomas Brown Forson, Superintendent Minister of Saint Paul Methodist Church in Tema, was on Sunday inducted into office as the new Synod Secretary of the Tema Diocese of the Church.

Very Rev Forson, 60, who was elected in September, takes over from Very Rev. Aaron Gaisie-Amoah, who is on transfer to the Somanya Circuit of the Church. Preaching at the ceremony Right Rev. Winfred Habel Yao Ametefe, Methodist Bishop of the Tema Diocese, reminded the new Synod Secretary that as shepherd of God's flock, he must endeavour to live above reproach, in order to win more souls for Christ.

Bishop Ametefe prayed for God's guidance, wisdom and knowledge for Very Rev. Forson, and said even though he would face numerous challenges, with God as his guide, he would surely smile at the storms of life. He expressed optimist the new Synod Secretary would live up to expectation.

Very Rev Forson who is married to Faustina, with four children, pledged to discharge his duties diligently in accordance with the vows he made at his ordination some years back.

He advised the congregation to reflect on the integrity of Christ, by exhibiting the virtues of humility, love, and compassion towards their neighbours.
