Spiritual Head of the Brotherhood Church

Kumasi, July 1, GNA- Primate S.K. Adofo, Spiritual Head of the Brotherhood Church, has called for re-orientation of the thoughts and attitudes of Ghanaians to ensure peace and tranquillity in the country. He noted that the nation is in stormy latitude hence the need to "re-examine our character building so that together we face the worldwide challenges together as one people with common destiny". Primate Adofo was addressing the opening session of the 36th National Delegates Conference of the church in Kumasi, which was on the theme: "Harvesters 2009 and beyond".
The three-day Conference was attended by more than 560 delegates from Ghana, Togo and the United Kingdom.
The Spiritual Leader stressed that both the Church and society have an obligation towards the fight against wrong doings. "We should not relent in the fight against the crave for wealth or get rich quick attitude," he said and referred to cyber fraud, popularly called 'Sakawa', drug addiction, indecent dressing, robbery, defilement, political violence and examination malpractices. He said "there is the need to re-kindle the fear and the love of God in the youth who have of late relaxed in adhering to the teachings of Christ and Christian doctrines both at home and in the Church. "Let us teach our young men and women to adopt good Christian discipline and principles so that they would refrain from certain negative foreign and local cultures that are militating against the good of society." 01 July 09
