Women's Ministry of GEC holds Rally

Nungua, Aug 3, GNA-Reverend Mrs. Edith Adoblosu Kuhlor, Women's Director of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC), on Sunday assured Christians that in times of difficulties, the good Lord would make a way for them. For this reason, she said, Christians should endeavour to be firm and steadfast in times of troubles.

Rev Kuhlor gave the assurance when she delivered the sermon at a Thanks-giving Service to round off a Rally organized by the Accra Presbytery of the Women's Ministry of GEC at Nungua. The four-day Rally which ended with the election of new executives, had as its theme: Woman Advance The Course." She advised women to be at the forefront of church activities, but urged them, in all humility, to do that with a high sense of dedication and commitment.

On the December General Elections, Rev. Kuhlor cautioned politicians to be circumspect in their campaigns, so as not to plunge the country into chaos. Rev. Nicholas Azalekor, Host Pastor in-charge of the Nungua Rohi Chapel of GEC, asked the new Executives of the Women's Ministry to live above reproach, and not to lord it over the other members of the Church. Rev. Azalekor reiterated the call on politicians to be mindful of their campaign messages, and ensured that they were devoid of insults.

Madam Celestial Mary Doh-Nani, out-going President of the Women's Ministry, pledged the old executives' preparedness to co-operate with the new ones, to help move the Church forward. Mrs. Gifty Agbavitor is the new President of the nine-member executive, with Mrs Emma Dumenyo as her Vice. Mrs Patricia Agbo is the Secretary with Mrs Sika Adade as her Assistant. Mrs Vivian Dordor, Mrs Joycelyn Bredzei, Mrs Patricia Misrowoda and Mrs Mary Agbevem, were elected Advisers.
