Thousands attend NPP gospel show in Takoradi

Takoradi, Aug. 16, GNA - A gospel show dubbed "Nana Gospel Show" has taken place ahead of the New Patriotic Party's congress scheduled to begin at 0900 hours on Saturday. The programme, which was organized by the party as a curtain-raiser for the congress, will also be used to launch the party's manifesto and to introduce the party's presidential running mate, Dr Mohammadu Bawumia.

The congress is on the theme "NPP we are moving forward" and is expected to be attended by over 1,000 delegates and several observers. Some delegates, regional and national executives of the party were present and danced the night away.

Giant screens were erected at the Takoradi Polytechnic park to enable many of the supporters to participate in the show.

Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia were present and continually did the kangaroo dance.

The two, both wearing a white short sleeved shirts, danced the night away receiving thunderous applause each time they did the kangaroo dance.

Some of the artistes present were Evangelist Amy Newman, Pastor Joe Beecham, Christiana Love, Ohenemaa Mercy and Oware Junior. Nana Akufo-Addo thanked residents of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis for their massive turn-out and urged them to continue to believe in themselves and in the NPP.

He urged all Ghanaians to keep their voter identification cards properly and ensure that they vote massively for the NPP in December.
