Suhum Presby Church donates to hospital

Suhum (E/R), Dec. 17, GNA - The Suhum District of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, kicked-off its centenary celebrations with a donation of food items and cash all valued at 10 million cedis to inpatients of the Suhum Government Hospital on Saturday.

The Chairman of the Akuapem Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), the Rev Dr Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, led the congregation amidst singing to the hospital to present the items after which they offered intercessory prayers for the inpatients. Rev Dr Mante said the donation re-affirmed the commitment of the PCG to be engaged with the concerns of the sick, in the same way as it was evangelising to healthy people.

He urged the sick not to lose hope in the midst of their pains but they should continue to seek solace in Christ as their 93anchor of hope for everlasting glory.=94

An elated Madam Marilove Acquah, Matron of the hospital, who received the items, thanked the Church.
