SDA Church raises funds for project

East Ghana Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Nsawam Central, has raised Ghc22,590 in aid of a three-storey church building.

The amount was realised through harvest at the church’s 60th anniversary celebration at Nsawam.

Pastor Addai Harrison Bafour, the host Pastor, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the project, estimated at Ghc900,000, would be completed in three years through communal labour by church members, voluntary contributions and harvests.

Pastor Harrison Bafour said the building would have a conference hall, children’s hall and eight offices.

He expressed gratitude to his fellow pastors and elders who worked tirelessly towards the anniversary celebration and their efforts in spreading the gospel in Nsawam and Adoagyiri and its environs.

In a sermon, Pastor Samuel Brenya Arloo of the East Ghana Conference of the Church appealed to the youth to refrain from alcoholism and social vises that would ruin their lives.

Elder Kwesi Ani Agyei in Charge of Accra Awudome S.D.A. Church who chaired the function pledged 100 bags of cement as his contribution towards the project and called on other members of the church to support the project.
