Ridge Church supports Remar Association

Accra, July 30, GNA - The Accra Ridge Church has donated GH¢1,000 to the Remar Association Ghana, an international Christian rehabilitation centre, as part of seed money to commence a shoe making shop for the inmates at its Adabraka Headquarters in Accra. The Church also donated assorted food items including rice, sugar, cooking oil and canned fish.

The Reverend Cobbina Aboagye of the Ridge Church urged the public to refrain from bad habits that were inimical to the positive development of society.

"We are all addicted to one thing or the other that we do not even want people to know but we have to make a conscious effort to stop. It is only when we stop that we become beacon to others." Rev. Cobbina appealed to the fortunate in the society to share their blessings with the less privileged such as widows, orphans and the rehabilitation centres.

Mr Ouedraogou Baovede Wagre, Country Director of Remar, expressed the Centre's appreciation to the Church for their continual support assuring them that the money had come at the time when they had received machines and other equipment for the shoe making shop. He said Remar Association was currently operating in 62 countries worldwide with 10 centres dotted in Ghana.
